Benefit of Papaya 



The Papaya is a fruit with energizing, refreshing and has the bright color of the sun. The Cubans called them "de fruta bomba" because it contains too many nutrients such as vitamins, antioxidants, proteolytic enzymes, fiber and trace elements. Ancient people called called this plant the 'tree of gold' for it was believed gave eternal youth.




From its homeland Papaya has expanded in all tropical and subtropical regions, today papaya grown and much more widespread outside of Latin America. Currently around the world they have grow to 50 different varieties.

Papaya contains an enzyme called papain, which has proteolytic action and is very useful to improve digestion, it is also rich in Vitamin C. This fruit also contains a large amount antioxidants such as selenium, carotene, provitamin A, and flavonoids which converts into Vitamin A. Papaya also rich in many carotenoids, including lycopene and B-cryptoxanthin, which together with other antioxidants protect cells from free radicals responsible for cellular aging. Flavonoids however, regulate the permeability of blood vessels, so they are important for the circulation of blood.

Papaya also contains minerals, particularly potassium, magnesium and calcium in natural form useful for the bones to prevent osteoporosis, and enzymes. The intake of this fruit (especially fermented) helps to keep fit, fight cellular aging caused by free radicals.
